I believe that we can renew the culture of work by developing leaders who are driven and successful, but more importantly authentic, trustworthy and human.

Imagine if the future of work was designed by a new generation of leaders who embrace the knowledge that organizational success is directly tied to igniting the passion and purpose of each employee.

Experienced

With more than 15 years in the talent development industry, I have had the pleasure of working in many and varied industries, from higher education to the supply chain. I have transformed learning opportunities by developing homegrown learning management systems and online training programs, as well as designing onboarding programs for global, multi-site corporations. By far, however, my greatest accomplishments are being a wife and life partner to an amazing husband and mother to two fabulous children.

While the early part of my career centered around instructional design and facilitation, I have refocused on the humans of human capital. Having the honor of sharing in the moments when clients trust enough to be authentic and let their passion shine through as it interweaves with their life and career goals is empowering - to me, but more importantly to them. This is why I decided to create my coaching and consulting firm, Development Ocean, which specializes in developing the leadership capability of emerging leaders.

Knowledgeable

In 2014, I achieved the Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) credential from the Association for Talent Development (ATD). Being a CPTD means that not only do I have a depth and breadth of knowledge in my role, but I have also demonstrated capabilities in leading myself, a team, and the organization to achieve desired results. In 2019 I became an ICF Certified Coach and completed my Masters in Leadership and Organizational Development through the University of Texas at Dallas. With additional training from the Arbinger Institute in Outward Mindset as well as a certification in the Center for Creative Leadership Benchmarks Assessment Suite, I am equipped with the real tools and assets necessary to increase trust, engagement and the true enjoyment of work for your people.

Empowering

I like to roll up my sleeves and contribute, so I am very involved with ATD, as a member and leader, both locally and nationally. In June of 2020, I joined L&D Cares as a Founding Director and Co-Creator of the Career Support Network. These opportunities have helped me develop my own leadership capabilities, stay informed about trends in the talent development industry, and develop my personal network to help my clients connect with those that can help them achieve the success they have designed for themselves. When I’m not working, you can find me spending time with my family and our extra-large dog or watching British dramas on tv with a glass of red wine while knitting or crocheting.
